So many names for such a woman.
She is a mother, daughter, sister, aunty, friend, partner, fiancé.
"A power to be reckoned with"
My mum is my best person. She is always there for me, and everyone around her. She supports me, loves me, and keeps by me. No matter what.
And that's what mother's are supposed to do. She spent her life making me and Ocean safe, loved and cherished. She taught us the values of working hard for what we wanted, to appreciate what we have, to keep those that you choose in your life, close. And so much more.
She was there when i didn't think that i could go on anymore. She was there when i came out as Bisexual, making it less scary. She was there holding my hand, when i talked about my abuse.
She has been there for every bad thing, and every good thing. And trust me, no matter how hard and bad my memories are, there are way more good and happy memories. Even if i can't always see that, i know it.
She has been my support system, and i love her so much.
She deserves the whole world.
She is getting married in June, and i can see a smile on her face that never leaves. She shines with a radiant glow. She is more happy than I've seen her in a long time.
The man she is marrying, Chris, is his name. Yeah, he is alright. Jokes aside, he is a great addition to the family and he's already become such a big part of my family. He knows what it's like to live a little in the dark, helped me through a lot of hardship. A stepfather figure, when I've needed someone to fill a hole. Stepped in, with his humour, kindness and humanity. Plus, the main reason i appreciate him, and love him, is because i can see the love he has for my mother.
I'm looking forward to the next chapter in their lives, as husband and wife. No longer girlfriend and boyfriend, nor fiancé, but together. United. Man and wife.
