Another coffee and brunchtime with my laptop in my favourite new cafe. It sits just of Prince of wales street, a warm open space, with the bustle of people enjoying a hot drink, a sweet pastry and a delicious brunch meal. Families with their children enjoying something with sugar, old couple and young ones, enjoying spending time together away from their homes. Young adults writing on their laptops, seating both around the windows, in the centre and outside. I choose a seat at the window, somewhere that I can watch the world drift past. Somewhere that I can disappear into my writing, but a place that I can be brought back into the cafe, with a gust of the wind when the door opens and lets the outside in. Good money, for the delicious meal that I have requested, Avocado on sourdough bead toast, black pudding and two poached eggs on top, giving a warm taste inside your mouth.
A great place to write, so much motivation right here in this spot. My fingers have a mind of their own, as I type and can't seem to stop or take a breath. I am not watching the door, as bust of people swanned in, and out of this sweet cafe. My coffee goes cold, but still a sweet taste in your mouth. As time ticks past, your coffee and your plate sits empty on the table next to you. You collect your belongings and start walking towards the train station, to take a train and visit your Grandad for dinner.
If I didn't have work tomorrow, I'd ask to stay over and spend the morning with him, then Lunch here in the same open cafe, enjoying yet another avocado, egg and black pudding on toast with a sweet latte to send my motivation into the air and back down into my mind and my fingers as I dance along my keyboard.
